Hiking at Mt. Charleston

We went to Mt. Charleston this weekend for the Jazz and Wine Festival. Mt. Charleston is, well, a mountain, about 35 minutes Northwest from the strip. It is at 6500 elevation and is generally cooler there in the summer, and snowy (there is skiing) in the winter.

Anyway, the wine festival was ok, but we got up early Saturday am and went on a great hike. Here are some nature photos for your enjoyment.

  2. There's a mouth & even two eyes in there. What a personality.

  3. Are the fires staying away from Mt. Charleston? One of my favorites things was to go to the top lodge pass the hotel and get hot chocolate...
